Retail Liquor Development Foundation

The RLDF was established to support the training and education needs of the liquor industry in order to maintain business viability. With the right skills and training in place liquor retailers can build their business, create better profits and enjoy a better lifestyle. The program has been tailored to meet liquor retailers needs and covers everyone from owner/operators to store managers and general staff. The RLDF Training Program is run by liquor industry experts who know the industry because they’ve worked in it. The program is flexible so retailers can pick and choose the most relevant courses to their needs. Each unit runs for half a day so people don’t have to be out of the store for too long. The program offers retailers all the expertise needed to get ahead and covers a wide range of subjects including, customer service, business planning and OH&S regulations. For the months of April, May and June 2008 we have selected six of the most popular programs which will be run at various locations around Victoria. The topics are: Retail Store Layout Customer ServicePeople ManagementSecurity & Loss PreventionInventory ManagementMarketing Principles Here’s what some retailers had to say about the RLDF Training Program: “If we’re not competing in terms of our ability to deliver and understand what our customers want and understand what they expect, then we are going to get left by the wayside”…….Geoff Gledhill, Seaview Cellars, Beaumaris, Vic. “Our people found the course absolutely brilliant. They came back with much better knowledge about OH&S and showed us how to create a safe workplace and ensure compliance with State laws,”….John Waterhouse, Country Liquor Group, NSW.     “As well as attending a number of RLDF modules myself, the fact that it’s affordable means I’ve been able to send my managers as well. It’s great that the training is available in regional areas.”…..Joe Bucello,AUR Foodrite, Foster, Victoria. Each training module is valued at $325.00 (includes GST) per person but the cost to MGA members is only $75.00 (includes GST) per session. The balance is sponsored by Master Grocers’ Australia and the Foster’s Group. We would urge you to support this program by booking either yourself or your staff into any of the courses and in so doing, build skills for a better business. Our next course and date is: Tuesday 10th June, 2008 at the Master Grocers Australia office:Suite 9, 1, Milton Parade, Malvern, Vic. 3144 am.  Inventory Managementpm.  Marketing Principles Registration Booking Forms are attached. I do hope you are able to participate in this important training program. Regards, Keith D.
